PokerRoom is a poker room that has been around for a while, since 1999 in fact. They were also one of the first poker rooms to target Mac players, offering Mac-compatible software so that anyone with a computer can play on Poker Room. PokerRoom has dedicated itself to being one of the best poker rooms, and so far, they are achieving that goal.

The PokerRoom website is one of the best things about PokerRoom. Everything is separated into its own little section and is east to find. There is a poker forum for people wanting to discuss poker, as well as an attached casino, CasinoRoom, for players wanting to play casino games as well as poker.
The PokerRoom software divides its games into ring games and tournaments. The filters in the software allow for easy navigation, as players are able to find the games they want to play in quite handily. The software is nice as well, with everything running smoothly. With the website and the software both being top-notch, there is little to complain about as far as how PokerRoom presents itself.

Unfortunately, PokerRoom only offers email support. This email support does have a quick response time though, and the staff is very friendly and helpful, fixing problems with little or no trouble or misunderstanding.
Competition at PokerRoom (8)
A skilled player will be able to take advantage of the competition at PokerRoom. The majority of the players at PokerRoom are weak, and cannot play winning poker. The players see too many flops with mediocre cards and don’t know when to pull back. There are worse players, but the players at PokerRoom are very bad. If you want to make money, PokerRoom is a great place to do it, as the competition, quite frankly, sucks.

PokerRoom has a nice selection of games. You can play Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo, and Five Card Draw. Most of the games are available in no limit, pot limit, and fixed limit betting variations. It is easy to find a game and jump right in at PokerRoom.

PokerRoom is one of the largest online poker rooms, with a large number of players in both the ring games and the tournaments. During peak hours, there are generally between 4,100 and 4,700 real money ring game players, and between 15,000 and 16,500 real money tournament players playing at Poker Room. PokerRoom has freerolls which offer decent payouts, as the prize pool in the freerolls is typically $500. With this large a payout, it is quite possible for skilled players to win their starting bankroll at Poker Room. The freerolls are very loose, so players to have to beware of that fact if they wish to play in the freerolls.
