Absolute Poker is a great place to play if you don’t want to spend a lot of money and have some fun. With more than 40 freerolls a day and very weak players, it is more than possible to have some fun beating up on other players without risking anything.

Absolute Poker simply looks great, with its red and blue color scheme. The menus are well designed, with large tabs and clear game listings. The game table looks nice in its normal skin, but you can also download and use different skins. If you want, you can even create your own skin.
Absolute Poker allows you to personalize your game even more. You can upload a picture that will act as your poker avatar at the table. This picture can be anything, as long as it is inoffensive. Common pictures include family, pets, and sports team, although there have been known to be some wild pictures as well. At one table I played at, I had Yoda to my right, Darth Maul to his right, twin dragons to my left, and Sauron sitting across from me. That was one interesting table.
Customer Service at Absolute Poker
Absolute Poker only offers 24/7 email support at this time. The response time is fast, and the staff is knowledgeable, so this somewhat cuts down on the sting of only having email support.
Competition at Absolute Poker
The players at Absolute Poker are very weak. In the freerolls, half the field is eliminated in a matter of minutes. The real money players aren’t much better, making large bets on medium strength hands. Absolute Poker players are just asking you to take their money away with the way they play.

Absolute Poker offers the usual suspects, nothing fancy. You can play Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha Hi/Lo, Seven Card Stud, and Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo.

What makes Absolute Poker tournaments great are the fact that a lot of them have no entry free, just the buy-in, so all of your money goes to the prize pool instead of winding up in the company’s hands.
Freerolls at Absolute Poker
As mentioned earlier, Absolute Poker offers 40 freerolls per day. The prize pools aren’t very large, but the competition is very weak, making it more likely for skilled players to consistently finish in the top 5% or so.
Stakes at Absolute Poker
Absolute Poker offers a decent variety of stakes. Limit games have low stakes of $0.02/$0.04 and high stakes of $75/$150. No limit games start at $0.05/$0.10 and go up to $10/$25. The high stakes tables usually have only 2 or 3 players at them, so finding a good game may pose a serious problem for avid high stakes poker players.

Absolute Poker offers both private ring games and private tournaments. If you want, you can grab a few buddies and have some fun while winning both money and bragging rights.
